Functionality is all important in designing kitchens. The process of preparing meals needs to be efficient and safe for all concerned. I start by appliance shopping with the client, selecting appliances by performance and the client's personal preferences. I then lay out the appliances and sinks forming the most efficient layout for the newly designed space. While cabinet's, countertops and backsplash materials are important selections aesthetically-these choices are more about tying the kitchen into the home’s decor and architectural style.
